PREGNANCY MASSAGE

During pregnancy, your body changes at a rapid pace and you may experience discomfort.
The muscles in the back, pelvis, and shoulders, in particular, bear increasingly more weight and tension.
Pregnancy massage gives these areas extra attention, reduces discomfort, and supports the drainage of fluids.
This way you can relax and recharge your energy. The massage is suitable from 12 weeks of pregnancy until one week before the due date.
What is a pregnancy massage?
A pregnancy massage is a gentle, safe massage specifically tailored to the body during pregnancy. As the center of gravity shifts and ligaments and joints become more flexible, extra strain is placed on the back, pelvis, and shoulders.
The massage releases this tension, improves blood circulation, and helps the body drain fluids.
During the treatment, you will be placed in a comfortable, supported position with pillows to relieve pressure on your abdomen and back. The pressure is fully adjusted to what is comfortable and safe for you and your baby at that moment.
How do you lie during the pregnancy massage?
During the treatment, you lie on your side in a comfortable position fully adapted to your pregnancy. I place a nursing pillow between your legs so that your pelvis and hips are well supported and your back is relieved. I also place a pillow under your belly so that it is supported and you do not end up in a twisted position. A pillow is also placed under your head for extra comfort.
This side-lying position is the safest and most comfortable position during pregnancy: there is no pressure on your abdomen, your blood circulation remains optimal, and you can fully relax. Halfway through the treatment, you can switch sides so that both sides of your body receive attention.
