FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What can I expect during my first treatment?
For your first treatment, we start with a brief intake during which we discuss what you are experiencing and what you need. This is followed by the treatment, fully tailored to your body and comfort. Afterwards, you will receive a glass of water and space to quietly reflect on the experience.
General working method
You do not need to bring your own towel.
After the treatment, you are always offered a glass of water to help eliminate waste products.
On colder days, you lie on a heated massage table and are massaged with warm oil at room temperature.
There are no dress codes, but please keep in mind that oil may leave light stains on your clothing.
All massages at Sherinda Massage are professional and respectful.
Do I need to make an appointment for a massage?

Which complaints do I treat?
A selection of the complaints I support with includes: stress- and tension-related complaints, headaches, back pain, neck and shoulder complaints, RSI (mouse arm, tennis elbow, golfer's elbow), radiating pain (often caused by trigger points), and burnout-related complaints.
Do you provide assistance with a terminal or chronic illness?
In the case of a terminal or chronic illness, a massage can provide a moment of peace and relief, but I do not treat the illness. This is holistic support alongside any medical care, not a replacement for it. Always consult your doctor if in doubt.
What are the benefits of massage?
Massage can help relieve pain and stiffness, improve blood circulation, reduce stress and anxiety, and promote relaxation and a sense of well-being.
Is massage painful?
Massage should not be painful, but some people experience some degree of discomfort, especially with deep tissue massage or trigger point massage. Discuss this with your practitioner so that the pressure can be adjusted to your comfort level.
Do I need to undress for a massage?
During the massage, you wear underwear or clothing in which you feel comfortable. The body is carefully covered with towels, and only the area to be treated is uncovered.
Our massages are professional, respectful, and completely non-erotic.
What if I feel uncomfortable exposing my body during the massage?
It is important that you feel comfortable. If it does not feel right to expose your body, you can discuss this with us. We can adjust the massage, for example by keeping you clothed or skipping certain areas.
Should I inform my healthcare provider about health problems?
Yes, that is essential. Please inform me of any health problems, injuries, or allergies so that I can tailor the treatment to your needs and avoid risks.
Can everyone get a massage?
Generally yes, but if you have health problems, it is wise to consult your doctor first. If you have an injury or are pregnant, it may be necessary to avoid or modify certain massages.
Can I go back to work or exercise immediately after the massage?
It is advisable to take it easy after the massage, especially after a deep tissue massage or dry cupping. Give your body time to recover and hydrate well before returning to work or exercising.
